My
Vacation Box
(Students recent vacation memories)
Supplies: Plain Box or basic round hatbox
Paste or glue
Optional: can wrap box with plain colored construction paper
vacation related stickers
colorful maps of the area (cut out)
trip post cards (cut out)
boat, train or airline tickets
small items collected while on vacation
for instance on a fishing trip they might have collected some fishing lures,
small starfish, driftwood, etc.
add dates in marker like:
8/2/01 Fishing Trip To
Lake Washington & any other notes.
Cut out of magazines a sun if it was sunny or rain cloud etc.
Photo's you took while there,
they can be shrunk down in size on a color copier too.
A hotel business card of where you stayed while on vacation.
Glue or paste the
above items of choice to your box with writing & drawings if you prefer.
Keep any other special vacation
memories, photos, items collected, tickets etc. of that trip inside the box.
This keeps vacation memories for a long time to cherish and share with others.
A "Camp Box" works really well for kids that go
to camp too. Same as above… You can glue ribbons won, crafts, and photos, what
they ate like roasted marshmallows, graham crackers & chocolate "Smores." Plus
with colorful marker write dates of camp, places, maps, favorite things, games,
outdoor adventures etc. drawn or pasted onto your "Camp Box." Keep camp
postcards & letters inside, your camp diary,
as well as small items collected or made at camp.
