(Students homemade funny-family magazine)
Supplies: Construction paper sheets
Hole punch
Safe Scissors
Yarn or ribbon
Paste or glue
Photo's of your family, friends, relatives & pets
Thin colorful markers
Magazine pictures of choice
Students make their cover of their magazine with construction paper & punch
holes on left side to add ribbon or yarn to hold pages together. They take &
carefully cut the heads of their family pictures & switch them on other bodies.
For instance they might take their pet cat's head & put the body of the cat
under dad's head. So it looks like dad has the body of their cat. Or you might
take their sister's head & add your body. Everyone's body doesn't match their
heads. Be sure to write their names under their pictures too. Mom, Dad, Sis,
Brother, Sugar the cat, etc. They can also add colorful & funny magazine
pictures, jokes, collages etc. Whatever makes them laugh? Maybe a funny picture
of their pet, a place they went, dad or mom doing something funny, friends,
family and so on. They can add funny designs, glue different fabric materials to
the inside pages, tell their own jokes and so on. Maybe they want to cut out of
a magazine a place & cut out animals from another page to paste onto that
picture & paste them upside down. Or put a car picture in the sky and flowers
in the lake. Whatever is out of the ordinary that they think would make others
happy & laugh? Use colorful markers to write with in your magazine. Use your
imagination and come up with original ideas you can surprise your classmates,
friends or family with. “Remember to
giggle-giggle-giggle, it's good for you!”
