Kid’s Go Bananas With This Simple Fried Banana Recipe!
Need: Bananas, butter, cinnamon sugar or powdered sugar
Peel your
bananas and either cut them in half lengthwise (or leave them whole.) Fry them in one TBSP. Butter on one side & then the other side until brown. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar or powdered sugar & serve warm.  Experiment with other toppings like caramel, nuts or others.

Kid’s Go Coco-Nutty With These Simple Coconut Cookies!
Need:  2 ounces grated coconut
1 3/4 cups sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 cup margarine
4 cups cornstarch
Use a preheated 375-degree oven.  Grease cookie sheet.  Sift sugar & cornstarch; add
coconut, margarine & egg. Form a dough ball and roll dough out into 2-inch length shape. Cut into 1-inch cookie slices.  Place on greased cookie sheet. Can add extra shredded coconut as topping. Bake for approx 15 minutes. Let cool completely before eating. Yummy!

Kid’s Assignment:
Come up with your very own Coconut Island Pictures, Poems, Stories, Illustrations, Monkey Facts, Monkey Games or Monkey Jokes and “Go Bananas!”

Monkey Tree
”Can we climb the monkey tree?”
One curious monkey said to me.
I can use my arms, my feet and tail.
With all these parts, I’ll never fail.
I’ll climb as high as I can go.
Come on along and watch the show.
The kid’s will laugh as they find me:
A curious monkey in a monkey tree!
