Surf And Sandman

1 Cup Of Blue Sky
1 Ray Of Sunshine
Pinch Of Tropical Breeze
2 Cups Of Stars
1 Splash of Salty Ocean Water
1 Rounded Tbsp. Of Moonlight
1/2 Tsp. Exotic Jungle
3 Large Sprigs Of Rain Forest
2 Tbsp. Coral Reef
3 Cups Of Coastal Sand
1/2 Cup Chopped Seaweed
Combine Basic Ingredients…
Top with traditional pineapple chunks, and shredded coconut.  Cover with a tight lid, chill until serving time.  Then close your eyes and relax as I guide you on an exotic world-class cruise of a lifetime.

Kids' make sure your parents are along for this spectacular cruise as the Sandman (The host of the Coast) gives you first class service aboard his critically acclaimed sailboat "The Surf And Sandman."  Is everyone ready for a fun-filled adventure?  Have you mixed all your basic ingredients together?  Then kick back and relax as we set sail for a remote island off the beautiful coast of Mexico.

Aboard this first class sailboat, the captain is serving up our itinerary of spectacular sights and events we will experience as we venture across the bay and into the depths of the bluest ocean waters.  As we head out to sea, the bluffs rise high above the Pacific with all their natural beauty.  A warm breeze gently blows over us as we are lightly misted by the crashing of the ocean waves against the side of our boat.  Aboard our elite team is prepared with lightweight clothing, sandals, bathing suits, sunglasses, sunscreen, and cameras for our memorable voyage.

The smell of deliciously enticing island fantasy dinners and tropical date nut shakes await us in the garden atrium aboard our boat located in the decorated bistro room.  Featuring award-winning exotic cuisine and magical sunsets, it's easy to understand how the Surf And Sandman achieved its world-class status.

Our first stop was the quaint little town called Surfside Village, with its small town charm and friendliness and one of a kind sidewalk Cafés, it welcomed us with open arms.  Royal Villas lined the historic roads and spectacular gardens thrived in abundance with a variety of flowering plants.  The innocence and natural beauty made it hard to leave this sparsely populated coastal town.

After enjoying the villages' most generous hospitality we quickly headed back out to sea.  We could still see this colorful town behind us fading off slowly in the distance.  Just then the waves below us caught everyone's attention and the reflection of the sun on the water had a hypnotizing effect on us all.  The romance and charm of the wide-open seas left us daydreaming for hours.

Everything was quiet and peaceful until without warning we received a loud radio report of a tropical storm approaching our location.  It didn't take long for the sun to suddenly become engulfed with very dark clouds.  We quickly readied our boat for the impending storm.  The children aboard had their life jackets checked and tightened.  Then it came, the storm arrived within minutes and had our undivided attention.  With its fury it tossed us about like a child's toy.  Winds whipped water over the sides of the boat stinging our bodies as it snapped against us with such intensity.  Our faces displayed signs of fear and disbelief.

When the storm had finally ended, the results were devastating.  Our sails were torn and tattered and water was slowly creeping in from a small hole that we had patched.  Despite the obvious devastation, we never gave up hope.

We recovered with victorious spirit as our remote island suddenly came into sight.  We drifted slowly towards her with bright faces dashing to the sides of the boat to get the best view.  She was a lush tropical paradise with beautiful white sand beaches and sparkling pools of water.  We were confident in the crew and knew our boat would be ready to set sail once again.  Since the crew was making repairs, we decided to go and explore this enchanting island.

We came across abundant wildlife, tropical foliage and an assortment of untouched flowers.  Beach side there were tide pools with exotic and colorful fish.  Bamboo could be seen floating in and out of the waves.  Not far from shore several dolphins were riding the surf with their grace and beauty.  The warm sand tickled our feet as it made it's way between our wet toes.  As the warmth of the sun penetrated our skin, we found a spot by the waters edge to sit and reflect back on our memorable voyage.  Despite all the danger we faced, we never lost hope and handled each challenge that crossed our paths.  The crew repaired our boat in two days and we sailed off into one of the most glorious sunsets.  Stories were later told about the Surf And Sandman and the voyage that started out by combining a few basic ingredients.  The children aboard that boat grew up and as adults purchased a new sailboat they appropriately named "The Victorious Spirit."
