Grandma And Grandpa's Garden
Once upon a time…on a hot and magical day, you might catch a glimpse of
Grandma and Grandpa out in their beautiful garden.
And a beautiful garden it was with lots of pretty roses, purple, blue and
yellow flowers everywhere. And as
big as can be global willow trees rustling in the warm Arizona breeze.
Bending their leaves back and forth like they are dancing in the wind.
Grandpa waters the beautiful garden and the flowers take in the cool
refreshing mist to grow even bigger and prettier.
The smell in the air is of fresh roses opening to the morning sun.
If you look close you can see birds in the back yard sitting on the
birdbath. They love to drink, bathe
and play in the cool water. Why I
even saw a Yellow Breasted Finch drinking from it the other day!
Looking up into the clear blue Arizona sky you see the neighborhood
pigeons, and even one that's as white as snow.
The cawing noise coming from afar are the big black ravens which fly over
their garden in search of food.
Inside the house you will find lots of rooms and Grandma and Grandpa
cooling off from a hard days work. At
night if you listen carefully you can hear the coyotes howling in the adjoining
fields. Sometimes it's hard to tell them from the other local dogs
barking at night. Winters are cold
there and there is lots of snow to play in.
The snow makes the tree branches really heavy and sometimes they break,
but new ones soon form again when the sun replenishes them with its' warm
blanket she wraps around them for protection.
Late at night you can see the stars high up in the sky shining down on us
from afar. This reminds us that
nighttime has come and we need to brush our teeth and say our prayers before we
all go to sleep. In the morning
comes another beautiful day in "Grandma And Grandpa's Garden."
