Lady The Bug
This is a short story about "Lady The Bug."
"She's a real beauty!" Everyone said as she landed on
Christians arm. She was bright
orange with little black spots and very quiet as she crawled slowly along
Christians arm. Suddenly without
warning she spread her tiny wings and flew high up in the sky.
Christian knew she was a friendly bug and loved to watch her fly as she
spread her tiny wings and took flight. He
yelled! "Mommy look!" "That
Lady Bug can fly!" And sure
enough he was right, she flew and flew and flew.
When he looked carefully off the balcony, he saw Alex the little girl
downstairs, and on her leg was Lady. Alex
was afraid of bugs but she knew Lady was friendly and was very gentle with her.
Alex put her leg out so Lady could fly and off she went up, up, up into
the sky.
Alex yelled "Lady Bug, Lady Bug fly away home!"
"You are free!" And
as Christian and Alex looked up into the clear blue sky it was filled with
thousands of Lady Bugs waving good-bye!
