The
Hunters Prize
Another
page is written
In our history book.
We need to open our eyes
And take a closer look.
We look to the Heavens,
And stars up above.
For answers to prayers,
And questions about love.
People have tried,
To control my destiny.
But fate has control,
Over my heart and me.
It's so hard to lie to you,
Late into the night.
Tears roll down my face,
As your holding me tight.
I tell you I don't love you,
But the tears give me away.
My heart won't let go,
No matter what my lips say.
I've always been able,
To let go in the past.
I could walk away,
And never look back.
But words don't always
Come out right.
As time grows later
Into the night.
For lies and deception,
No matter the cost.
The hunter becomes hunted,
And the prey becomes lost.
So tell me no secrets,
And tell me no lies.
For the truth is obvious,
When I look in your eyes.
Winning or losing,
Is not part of the game.
With one roll of the dice,
The outcomes the same.
My eyes might look sad,
But I'm happy inside.
Our paths have crossed,
There's no reason to hide.
