Pie
In The Sky
You
could offer me a million bucks,
And Honey I'd have to say Good Luck!
My heart is worth more than gold,
This foolishness is growing old.
You could offer me a cozy fire.
But until I get my heart's desire,
Don't cross your fingers for good luck,
Or offer me a single buck!
You could offer me a Pie In The Sky,
And Honey I'd have to question why?
For isn't Heaven what we are living for,
To cross through the gates and open the door.
You could offer me fortune and fame,
But all along we're not part of the game.
Next time you choose to roll the dice,
Remember your choice to always think twice.
You could offer me a mansion by the sea,
If there's lies and deception, you'll never find me.
Honesty is wholesome and true,
If you can't find it, it will find you.
And for every girl that tells you no,
There are 15 more that will say, "Let's go!"
So my advice is simply this,
Don't bet your heart on just one kiss.
We're not so different you and me,
And pointing fingers leaves you with three.
Don't blame or judge or question why,
Look up to the Heavens for "The Pie In The Sky!"
