The Narrows Bridge

(Tacoma, WA)

Crossing the Narrows the full moon in sight.
Nothing's more peaceful on a warm summer's night.
It floats to the left,
as I move to the right.
Giving off its soft luminescent light.
It turns shades of yellow,
and areas of bright gray.
With an aura of mystery,
surrounding it today.
When dreams turn to wishes,
and wishes come true.
When a bright twinkling star,
bursts across the sky close to you.
Where moonbeams and magic fill the night air,
Majestic Mt. Rainier gives off its reddish glare.
You come to realize Paradise is here on earth
always remembering her true inner worth.
As we cross the bridge to the other side,
the full moon shines brightly,
with nowhere to hide.
I never lost sight of that ball in the sky.
It followed me home on that warm summers night.
Suddenly it winked at me in the most peculiar way,
as if to know what I was about to say.
"A canvas is painted for others to see,
a reflection of colors, true peace and tranquility!"
