A Diamond In The Rough
Any
rainbow I’d give to you,
all the colors that you like.
A band of gold I would wear for you.
All the songs on the radio I would play for you,
every love song to fill your heart.
Shiny diamonds I hold in the sun,
all the sparkles that you like.
I would give them all to you,
to have your heart tonight.
I
will follow you through the looking glass,
as I stumble over the right words.
Time is on the other side,
as the radio plays one more song.
All
my heart I would give to you,
as I open it wide to let you in.
With every beat you listen to,
and every song it plays for you.
I catch my breath as it floats by,
with the whispers of the wind.
A butterfly I would catch for you,
and give you all the freedom that you like.
Wildflowers I would pick for you,
all the fragrant smells you like.
I would run with you through the fields,
and carry you when you can’t walk.
I would lower the clouds,
and lay them under your tired feet.
To lift your spirits higher,
when heavy burdens come your way.
Your eyes the flame that burns eternal.
My heart feels you near when you glance my way.
Your sunlight shines on my life,
with all the warmth that you like.
As husband and wife everything you want I will be.
I would circle you with words of trust,
as you offer your heart to me.
Lost in you I will be,
everything that you like!
